Doppler pipe for peugeot comes in for it’s two month or 3000 mile service. Doppler has reinforced baffle technology. This extra strength in the rear creates an unexpected shock-wave of weakness that spreads to all other areas of the pipe.
First to go is the rear pivoting mounting bracket which cracks apart and disintegrates into dust. luckily we were able to salvage most of it and weld in back together.
Next to fail is one of three bolts that hold the baffle in place. we were fortunate to find that the other nuts are actually welded on, so a quick fix turned into a lengthy project. cutting off nuts. cutting off nuts. cutting off nuts. and grinding off nuts, i mean bolts and welding on nuts and bolts.
Finally we arrive at the photo above. three new bolts and a nice clean baffle. The worthless oil soaked packing is replaced and our merry mopeder is on their way.

complete.

since the doppler pipe is designed to scrape on the ground as you ride, we thought we would improve on this by adding an extra scraper plate.
